Palm: Passion Sunday

Retracing the Stations of the Cross is an age-old practice in the Christian tradition.

Christians would re-enact the life of Christ is by going on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem, but as Christianity spread worldwide it became more cost-prohibitive to do so. Cathedral halls began displaying progressive art installations known as the Stations of the Cross or Via Dolorosa. There are various forms of depictions, from icons, to paintings, to sculptures, to stained glass. We will be retracing the steps of the "Way of the Cross" through artistic renderings done by Kreg Yingst. Kreg Yingst is an illustrator with a focus on block printing, with original works created from carved blocks of wood, linoleum, or other materials.
